Steve Howey Movies And TV Shows

Steven Michael Robert Howey was born to American parents on July 12, 1977. He is also an American film and television actor.

Robert Howey played a major role in Van Montgomery on The WB/CW television series Reba, and Kevin Ball on the Showtime series Shameless. Howey was featured in Supercross, DOA: Dead or Alive, Bride WarsGame Over, Man!, and Something Borrowed.

Early Life and education

Howey attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, for two years on a basketball scholarship. This was when he moved from Texas to Denver, Colorado before heading to Sterling.

In the TV shows such as The ER (1994) and The Drew Carey Show, he guest-starred in the shows. In the film Class (1998), he was starred and also part of its producer. The movie was accepted into the Denver International Film Festival; it was written and directed by his father.

Howey got his first starring role in 2001 in a movie series. In the film, he was cast as Van Montgomery in the show Reba. He was featured in the series till it ended in 2007. In Reba McEntire’s music video “Every Other Weekend”, he appeared in the video with his Reba co-star Joanna Garcia. In Broad City, he did a cameo.

In the movie, Supercross filmed in 2005, he starred as K.C. Carlyle, an MX racer. He was featured as Weatherby in the film DOA: Dead or Alive, with Jaime Pressly and Eric Roberts. In Bride Wars, 2009, he starred with Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.

Kate Hudson and Howey starred in the movie Something Borrowed in 2011 as her love interest. In the movie, Stan Helsing, he portrayed the movie title role in 2009. In the same 2009, Howey was featured in a web series CTRL where he acted as Ben Piller. Howey appeared on another show Psych within a short period after the played in CTRL.

Howey was part of the cast of the Showtime dramedy Shameless that was cast in 2010 summer. He was featured as Kevin Ball in the series regular. When season 2 of the series premiered on January 8, 2012, Howey still remained the main cast member and played Kevin Ball till the series ended.

Howey also gueststarred in 2013 on Fox’s New Girl episode titled “TinFinity” as Jax. He starred as a professional football player and had a love interest of Jess; Zooey Deschanel.

Personal life

Steven Michael Robert Howey was married to Sarah Shahi who is an actress and a model. They got engaged in June 2007 when they were on vacation in Hawaii. Howey married Sarah on

February 7, 2009, in Las Vegas. Howey and Sarah had their first child in July 2009 – a male child. They had twins in 2015; a boy and a girl. They filed for divorce in May 2020 and were divorced in January 2021.

In his late show, Sarah stated that Howey is of Scottish descent on The Late Late episode show with Craig Ferguson.
