Barca want to steal Kylian Mbappe from Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe is regarded as one of the hottest properties in world football currently and he was the most sought after by Spanish giants, Real Madrid in the last transfer window although PSG were reluctant to sell, putting a stumbling block.

The PSG and France superstar had made up his mind to move from Paris to Spain, unfortunately, the sellers weren’t ready to part ways with their most prized asset.

It’s now clear that the 22-year-old would have to decide which of the Spanish giants to join after the current campaign elapses.

Mbappe is in the last year of his contract with PSG and by January, when the winter transfer window opens, he’d have the option of signing a pre-contract with any potential suitors he deems appropriate for his next destination.

The Notion that Barcelona could acquire the signature of a lousy world-class player in the coming transfer window sounds somewhat amusing given the widely reported financial situation of the club.

At some point, Barcelona were on the verge of bankruptcy. It’s now clear that the club is resurging, the top echelon at the Catalan club firmly ascertains that one marque signing will indeed be made possible before the commencement of the 2022/23 campaign.

The question in the mind of football followers is that, can Barcelona steal Mbappe deal from their title rivals Real Madrid considering their financial situation?

Barcelona’s financial situation is an open secret, the salary limit and the amount Barcelona can spend on players’ wages and acquisitions dealt is one of their undoings.

This led to the departure of Messi to PSG. But it’s looking like the light is showing at the end of the tunnel for the Catalonia giants as their financial situation is rapidly changing. This would increase their financial firepower next campaign.

Barcelona, as it stands, cannot fall short of their pedigree, They’ll have to sign players to improve the squad massively. The club’s vice-president, Eduard Romelu reiterated earlier this week that;

“Barcelona cannot afford to be in the shadow of their past glory years. It looked like we were down financially and unable to shell out money to sign big stars for another two years due to our precarious financial crisis but, the club, however, cannot afford to slip into oblivion, our objectives are to get the club back amongst the elite and one of the steps we need to take to achieve that is to try to convince Kylian Mbappé to join us at the Camp Nou”

Having considered that the French international would be a free agent in the summer, he’d have the option to choose which employer is best suited for him.

Los Blancos’ growing interest in acquiring the France prodigy is not hidden and even the said player had openly highlighted his desire to join Real Madrid in the past by refusing to pen a new deal with the Paris-based club.

All efforts and mouthwatering deals to lure and tie the former world cup winner down to a new deal by the PSG hierarchy proved abortive.

PSG, as a club, want to win the UEFA Champions League trophy, with the acquisition of Lionel Messi and Mbappe in the team, their chances of a triumph this season has have been enhanced.

Mbappé’s move to any club of his choice would probably not cost the club getting him a penny in the summer but the club that signs him will have to part ways with a sizeable and huge signing-on fee.

According to sources close to Barcelona, they are willing to meet Kylian’s demands– based on their projection that their financial situation would allow them to do so next July.

They’re planning to shell out an audacious 90 million euros upfront to turn him. Madrid, on the other hand, are said to be preparing about 50 million euros sign-on fee for the 22-year-old French striker.

In the area of wages, the Catalonia desperados think they can outbid Pérez, with a salary limit set at the 17 million euros net for players in Spain, which Gareth Bale currently earns at Madrid, Barcelona thinks they can meet Mbappe requests.

Kylian Mbappe has a decision to make if at all he’s willing to explore other options apart from Real Madrid.
