Shining Nikki is one of the most popular puzzle games on the internet and one of the hardest. It’s not as simple as it seems. You have to solve puzzles by making your way through a series of rooms, collecting items, and using them to open doors or make it past obstacles.
The game was developed by Treasure Co., Ltd. and published by Sega. It was released in Japan on October 22, 2001, and in North America on November 1, 2001.
The game takes place in a futuristic city called Oukoku City. The player takes control of Nikki, who has been chosen as a “Shining Star” because of her ability to make friends with anyone she meets.

She can use this ability to help her friends solve their problems by using a special device known as the Shining Nikki Phone Book (SNPB) that helps them look up information on any subject they want to know about.
To unlock the game’s final level, the player must collect all of the Shining Stars’ badges in each stage’s hidden area.
They can find hidden items called “Hints” scattered throughout each area’s stages (some are found inside crates). Once they have collected all of these items, they can reach Level 3, where they will face off against one last boss before finishing their adventure!
