On the 30th anniversary of Destiny 2, there were massive releases of a variety of Bungie legacy-inspired weapons for players to explore. Amongst all the weapons, we identified a kinetic slot grenade launcher which gives Ignition Code a run for its money.
Pardon Our Dust is acquired through a treasure chest in front of Xur, exclusive to Treasure keys exchanged in the Starhorse. Guardians as called will have to run many Dares of Eternity to accumulate Strange Coins.
Getting up to 10 of these Strange Coins will be converted to Treasure Keys to help us gain access to the chest and grab our weapon.
In PvP. It’s clear that Pardon Our Dust is outclassed by other grenade launchers, but that can make us rule out its other part of effectiveness in the game.
It has some features that are vital in PvP and fit better if you don’t want to use the Ignition Code when you want to run a kinetic grenade launcher.
Pardon Our Dust’s best Perks are:
- Fast launch for an overwhelming handling and projectile speed.
- It can blind enemies for some period. However, you should know it comes with a cost of 200 Blast Radius.
- It features Auto Loading Holster to reload the weapon quickly.
- It has Vorpal Weapon for added damage to Bosses.
How To Get Pardon Our Dust
There are many sources to get this weapon, and all of them are dependent on you playing the new Dares of eternity offensive activity. first, open the treasure chest which is closer to Xur in Xur’s Treasure Hoard which has a higher possibility of obtaining this weapon.
Also, you can get your hand on this weapon by defeating the Ogre Boss who will spawn in the Dares of Eternity.
There’s a possibility of him dropping any of the Xur treasure chest weapons upon defeat. And lastly, some players said they received this weapon after they ranked up Xur, but that method is not attainable to most players.
Pardon Our Dust Stats

- Blast Radius: 55
- Rounds Per Minute: 90
PvP God Roll
This is a very powerful weapon but not as deemed in PVP, its strategic shattering of enemies is lacking in this phase, but its chances to regenerate and clean up enemies massively are worth recommending.
It’s better to use Pardon Our Dust with another reliable energy primary to either start or quash fights with other guardians. Don’t use it as the only weapon in PvP.
Weapon Stats in PvP
- Barrel: Hard Launch
- Magazine: Proximity Grenades
- Perk 1: Auto-Loading Holster
- Perk 2: Demolitionist / Wellspring
- Masterwork: Velocity
- Mod: Icarus Grip
PvE God Roll
This is where the sweetness of the weapon is witnessed. In PvE, it can be customized to perfectly fit any guardian’s playstyle.
It is quicker to clear out little foes with Blinding Grenades. While in Boss fight, it employs the Spike Grenades and Vorpal Weapon, and two key perks which add extra damage.
Weapon stats in PvE
- Barrel: Volatile Launch / Hard Launch
- Magazine: Blinding Grenades / Spike Grenades
- Perk 1: Auto-Loading Holster / Ambitious Assassin
- Perk 2: Danger Zone / Vorpal Weapon / Demolitionist
- Masterwork: Blast Radius
- Mod: Spec Mod
Such other perks like the Ambitious Assassin and Demolitionist are great as well. In disparity, players can overrun the magazine with the number of their rapid kills made beforehand.
Rapid kills grant the grenade energy. To receive more of these Strange Coins to obtain Pardon Our Dust, Guardians must farm as many times the Dares of Eternity, daily bounties, and other activities. These coins are used in the Starhorse in an exchange for the Legendary Treasure Key.
